Richmond Neighborhood Community Association
What is the RNCA?
The Richmond Neighborhood Community Association (RNCA) is an organization composed of Richmond Avenue block clubs and concerned neighborhood residents. Its goal is to be a collective voice for improvement and enhancement of our neighborhood. The RNCA has been successful in bringing residents' issues to the attention of City government. The Association has worked with the City to, in many cases, resolve these issues. The reason for the successes of the RNCA lies in its:
| Strong Leadership - Its leaders are diligent in organizing and preparing plans of action to address the neighborhood problems. | |
| Active Membership - Members are dedicated and volunteer their time to serve on committees and help in implementing projects that are a benefit to the neighborhood. | |
| Political Importance - Richmond Avenue runs through three Council districts. This fact has helped get concerns and ideas across to city government through our Council Representatives. The RNCA has also made its monthly meetings open to political leaders (City, State and Federal) when there are issues that they would like to present to the membership. | |
| Strong Relationship With Neighboring organizations - The realization that working together promotes common goals has helped solve wide area problems that an individual group would have difficulty correcting. |
